Increase in Cosmetic Surgery during the Pandemic

It is reported that a number of clinics around the world are seeing a increase in people requesting cosmetic surgery during the present pandemic. They feel they can hide their surgery behind their face mask or they are able to work from home and hence hide the fact from others.

Many clinics around the world have remained open and claim that they are following all the protocols to keep their clinics free of the infection and that their patients are tested for covid 19 before surgery.

Countries that reported an increase in surgery during this period include US, Japan, South Korea and Australia. They have all seen a rise in patients coming in for treatment including lip fillers, botox, face lifts and nose jobs.
